St. Margaret's Bay Sea Training School
Cadet Robert Keith's Sweater
Lads from every part of Nova Scotia
came to learn the seafaring arts at the St. Margaret's Bay Sea Training School
in Hubbards, NS. to become merchant seamen, preparatory to joining the Merchant
Marine to carry sinews of war to every battle zone of WW II. On the
"Bluenose", a facsimile of a ship built on land, the lads learned knotcraft,
signaling, climbing the ratlines, etc. (click on pictures for enlargements).
